Community Benefit at RML Specialty Hospital
RML Specialty Hospital is a not-for-profit hospital committed to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of the communities we serve.
As part of this commitment, and in accordance with federal requirements, RML conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years and develops corresponding Implementation Plans. These documents help identify community health priorities and guide community benefit activities over time.

What Is a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)?
A Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) is a structured process used by not-for-profit hospitals to identify significant health needs in the communities they serve.
The assessment is informed by:
Collaboration with community and public health stakeholders
CHNAs are conducted on a regular cycle and are used to help inform planning and resource allocation. Findings do not represent guarantees of outcomes or services.

Community health priorities are identified through the CHNA process based on available data and community input and are reviewed in the context of RML’s mission and scope of services
Implementation Strategy
Following each Community Health Needs Assessment, RML develops an Implementation Strategy outlining how the organization plans to address selected community health priorities.
Implementation strategies may include program development, partnerships, education, or outreach initiatives. Activities are reviewed periodically and may evolve over time based on community needs and available resources.
