How Admission Works

Our nurse clinical liaisons work closely with you, your loved one’s care team, and the hospital discharge planner to help determine the appropriate level of care. Admission begins with a referral to RML from your hospital care team.

RML nurse clinical liaison reviews the medical information to determine whether long-term acute care is appropriate.

Insurance Verification

Insurance coverage is confirmed prior to admission. Families are informed on coverage so there are no surprises.

Transfer Coordination

When admission is approved, RML nurse clinical liaisons coordinates directly with the your discharge planner to arrange a safe transfer to RML.

RML provides hospital-level long-term acute care for patients who no longer require intensive care but still need daily medical monitoring and treatment.
